Svenja Plaas bewegt sich zwischen Illustration, Comic, Kunst und Film. Geschichten zu erzählen, ist elementarer Teil ihres Schaffens.
Für diese Ausstellung hat sie die 2-dimensionale Welt ihrer Zeichnungen erweitert und Ton-Objekte erstellt.
„Katastrophen, Sekt und Canapés“ ist Ausdruck eines aktuellen Gefühls, eines Weltschmerzes. Einer Welt, in der vieles absurd und ausser Kontrolle ist. Trinken wir auf das Unbehagen und beissen uns die Zähne an Ton-Häppchen aus. Cheers!
Svenja Plaas is floating between illustration, comic, art and film. Telling stories is a fundamental part of her work.
For this exhibition, she has expanded the two-dimensional world of her drawings and created clay objects.
‘Disasters, Champagne and Canapés’ is an expression of a current sentiment, a weltschmerz. A world in which so much is absurd and out of control. Let’s drink to the unease and bite our teeth into apatizers made of clay. Cheers!
